Internationally renowned artist and teacher Harold Charles Boyes was born in Montreal into a family of artists.
He studied at Ecole des Beaux Arts under Joseph St Charles and Charles Maillard. Later meeting and establishing an
influential relationship with artist Adam Sherriff Scott. He established his approach to painting and a unique style of objective realism where nature’s moods colours and forms become the key factors in the art.
His paintings reflected his special relationship with his home province of Quebec creating important landscapes, rural and urban scenes. Boyes is also known for his exceptional seascpes capturing the rugged coastlines of the Maritime provinces, New Foundland and the state of Maine.
Boyes work is much sought after and is represented in corporate and private collections throughout Canada, in Canadian embassies abroad, and included in collections in Australia, the United Kingdom and France.
