Roger CANTIN (1930-2018) – Fusain sur papier signé, mesurant 16×12 pouces

Quebec City artist Roger Cantin completed his studies at the École des beaux-arts de Québec in 1964 and began his career as a figurative painter. In his paintings, he uses watercolor and acrylic paint.

His works are distinguished by his mastery of spatial composition and simplicity of form and colour palette. The rural and urban scenes of Quebec, still life, and unique portraiture prove inspirational.

Cantin’s paintings are much valued and found in numerous public, private and corporate collections.
