Marie Laberge (1929-2017) studied art at the École des beaux-arts de Québec becoming a
visual arts teacher. A exceptional visual artist, Laberge’s considerable works have been exhibited throughout Quebec.
Marie Laberge, also a distinguished poet, had eight of her poetry collections published by Leméac.
She received the Prix du Maurier in 1965 for her collection Halte and was a member of the Union des écrivains québécois.
Her works are found in many private and public collections and are still highly sought after by collectors.
