Born in Nijmegen, Holland, after coming to Canada he studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Mtl. Days (1955-58) and evenings (1958-60). Among the finest contemporary still life and landscape painters in eastern Canada. He held his first solo show in Canada at Vieux Longueuil, Longueuil, Quebec in 1972. Subsequent solo shows at: Galerie Bernard Desroches, Mtl. (1981) (1983) (1985) (1988) (1990) (1992); Linchrist Galllery, Toronto (1982) (1984); Galerie d’art Vincent, Ottawa (1984); Galerie Michel de Kerdour, Quebec (1984). He has taken part in many important group shows and is represented in several corporate an private collections in Canada, United States, Holland, France and Belgium.
