Toronto born artist John A. Barwick (1912) studied under Hortense Gordon (Painters 11) at Wentworth School of Art in Hamilton, Ontario and relocated to Montreal to begin an extensive career as a graphic artist.
His paintings have been shown at Canadian Royal Academy and Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. His highly collectable portraits, Laurentian winter landscapes, and New England seascapes have been exhibited by the Walter Klinkhoff Gallery, Colbert Gallery in Montréal, and Roberts Gallery in Toronto.
