Garlic – Rudy Sparkuhl

Rudy Sparkuhl draws inspiration from the streets of Toronto creating works that are accessible and at the same time fascinating to behold.

Using photography initially to capture the image, his paintings are meticulously crafted with airbrushed acrylic and sophisticated masking techniques.

“My paintings may or may not emphasize photographic properties. Colour, saturation,
contrast and composition vary with whatever suits the painting: strict adherence to
Photorealism is not an issue. I choose subjects that I find interesting or are likely to sell,
