André Bergeron is a painter, sculptor, lithographer and printmaker born in Saint-Germain, Quebec. He trained at the Académie Julian and the Collège de France in Paris. He then learned about printmaking at the Goetz Academy in Paris and at the Center de Gravure Contemporaine in Geneva, Switzerland, with Eugène Schenker. He is the former curator of the Oratory Museum. Bergeron is particularly recognized for his lithographs.

33 solo and 17 collectives – in Europe, the United States and Canada; including participation in 1964 at the Salon d’art sacré at the Museum of Modern Art in the city of Paris.

In 1973, André Bergeron was invited by the Dutch Government to the Center de Gravure Frans Masereel, Kasterlee, Belgium.

In May 2012, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.
