Fernand Tremblay (1932-1997) was born in Montreal, July 18, 1932. He graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts in Montreal in 1954. Illustrator and topographical designer, he directs his research towards painting, by studying Quebec masters in exhibitions and in libraries. After a brief cubic and abstract period, he returned to figurative painting, on the advice of his friend René Richard.
In 1981 and 1982, he exhibited at the Tournesol gallery in Beloeil and at the Chasse-Galerie in Montreal, solo. In 1982 and 1984, he took part in group exhibitions at the Symbol Art gallery in Montreal and at the Annexe gallery in Mont-St-Hilaire. Finally, he participated in the National Art Gallery Salon in Montreal and in Art Expo Montreal in 1984 and 1985.
