Born in Sherbrooke, Genest studied at École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal.
Her exceptional works were regularly exhibited throughout New York City’s art scene in the 60s and 70s.

Paule Genest masterfully created with a full range of media techniques, watercolour, ink, pencil and oils.
Her pictorial themes of the natural world, colourful Quebec landscapes, and figurative studies all bear her unique and expressive style.

A lifelong artist Genest was devoted to her craft, sharing and embellishing her skills through education and instruction. Moving to the town of Saint-Martyrs Canadiens in the early 1980s, she lived and worked there and had numerous solo exhibits throughout Quebec. Genests works are found in notable corporate collections such as Banque nationale du Canada, Caisse populaire Desjardins as well as major institutions and universities, and important private and public collections worldwide.
