Parisien Chrystel Robin spent most of her youth in Africa where her family was posted for professional reasons. Her most significant trips were those to Senegal and Morocco where she lived, for many years, in total cultural immersion.

Returning to France in 1985, she began more advanced studies at the École supérieure des Arts et Techniques for a period of five years. She was admitted through a competition and followed training in design, ephemeral architecture and ergonomics.

Robin has explored projects in design, interior decoration, trompe-l’oeil and art patina for cinema and theater, as well as scenography and as designer and illustrator of CD-ROMs for children.

Once in Quebec, a 1999 meeting with painter Claude Théberge solidified her pursuits as a painter of culturally rich, complex, energized images.  Her sought after creations are now part of  many important collections.
