Born in Quebec in 1939, Robert Savoie studied from 1957 to 1962 at the Institute of Graphic Arts and the School of Fine Arts in Montreal. He completed his training at the Chelsea School of Art in London and Atelier 17 in Paris, as well as an internship in Scandinavia and a study trip to Japan. He was a professor at the Montreal School of Fine Arts from 1968 to 1970. Robert Savoie’s works can be found today in numerous private and public collections, notably in the collection of the University of Sherbrooke.
