Born in Lobinière, Québec in 1922, he studied at L’École des Beaux Arts of Québec, from 1946 to 1948.  Auger was one of the first artists exposed at Québec City’s renouned Zanettin gallery. Known for his proficiency in water colour and charcoal, this oil on canvas is a wonderful exception.
