Alexandre Bougault a Parisian photographer reporting for the French Navy as well as L’Illustration, captured images in North Africa, Tunisia, and Algeria during the 1880s.
This circa 1900 panoramic print “North African Desert With Nomads Riding Camels” a definitive example of his works was produced in his own publishing house in the port of Toulon.
